FAQs Billing

Austin Dermatologists, FAQs | Billing

WHAT DO YOU CHARGE FOR YOUR SERVICES?

This varies based on the service and on what is being treated. Please call our office at (512) 485-7700 to discuss pricing.

WHAT TYPE OF PAYMENTS DO YOU ACCEPT?

For your convenience, we accept checks, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover. We also offer "package" pricing for certain procedures such as Botox®, FotoFacial, Gentlewaves, Laser Hair Removal, and microdermabrasion.

WHAT INSURANCE DO YOU ACCEPT?

Zimmet Vein & Dermatology is an "out of network provider" for most insurance companies. We will give you paperwork that you can mail to insurance for possible coverage of medically necessary treatments. You may wish to call your insurance company and review your "out of network" policy.

Insurance companies will only consider coverage for treatments that they consider "medically necessary." We will be glad to write a letter of medical necessity supporting your request for authorization or reimbursement. However, many services (such as spider vein treatment) are considered cosmetic.

DO YOU ACCEPT MEDICARE?

Dr. Zimmet voluntarily "opted out" of the Medicare system. If you are a Medicare patient, we will ask you to review and sign a document stipulated by Medicare. The terms of coverage are regulated and governed by Medicare, and state that you agree not to file your claim with them. Please call our office should you have questions about the "opt out" status.

For more details about our services, visit the Services page on this website. Or contact us today at (512) 485-7700 to schedule your appointment or ask us any questions.
