Austin Thermage Treatment Specialists
Zimmet Vein and Dermatology is proud to offer Thermage treatments. Thermage is an exciting technology used to tighten, contour and smooth skin on the face, eyelids, abdomen, legs and arms. It can also be used to treat cellulite. It is safe, non-invasive, and usually takes between 30-90 minutes depending on the area treated.
For best results, Thermage should be administered by a qualified medical doctor with experience in cosmetic treatments. Dr. Steven Zimmet is an experienced Thermage physician.
How Thermage Works
Thermage is an innovative skin treatment that uses radiofrequency waves to heat the collagen contained in the deeper layers of the skin, while simultaneously cooling the outermost layer for safety. This process stimulates your skin’s natural repair process, with tightening of collagen and production of new collagen. This results in a healthier and more youthful appearance. The results usually last 1-3 years, although individual outcomes may vary.
With the new Thermage Comfort Pulse Technology (CPT), skin tightening is even more comfortable and effective. A vibrating handpiece delivers waves of cooling sensations to the treatment area, similar to those used in Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) to treat chronic pain. CPT also distributes heat more efficiently, covering up to four times the area as before. The new design will make your skin smoother and tighter without sacrificing your comfort.
Thermage has been approved by the FDA for use on both the face and the rest of the body. Simply follow the links below if you would like to learn more about:
Is Thermage Right for You?
You may benefit from use of our Austin Thermage treatment services if:
- You want smoother skin, but are wary of surgical procedures. Thermage requires no incisions, injections, or other invasive methods. Most patients are able to return to work and normal activities immediately after the treatment. In fact, you should be able to go to dinner the evening of the treatment without anyone knowing you’ve had it.
- You need a cosmetic procedure that fits into a busy schedule. A Thermage treatment can be completed in 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the extent of work done.
- You want a comfortable experience. Most people find the treatment to be much less painful than they anticipated. Although you’ll have the option to take a Xanax to relax a bit, many people don’t find this is necessary . We will communicate with you throughout the treatment to ensure that we maximize your comfort level.
