Austin Thermage Treatment Specialists

The Austin skin cosmetologists of Zimmet Vein and Dermatology are proud to offer Thermage treatments to our clients. Thermage is an exciting new technology used to treat a wide variety of skin blemishes. It is safe, non-invasive, and can usually be completed over your lunch break.

For best results, Thermage should be administered by a qualified medical doctor with experience in cosmetic treatments. To discuss this treatment with award-winning Austin dermatologist and phlebotomist Dr. Steven Zimmet, call our offices today at 512-485-7700.

How Thermage Works

Thermage is an innovative skin treatment that uses radiofrequencies to heat the collagen contained in the deeper layers of the skin, while simultaneously cooling the outermost layer for safety. This process stimulates your skin’s natural repair process, resulting in a healthier and more youthful appearance. The results may last months for even years, although individual outcomes may vary.

Thermage has been approved by the FDA for use on both the face and the rest of the body. Simply follow the links below if you would like to learn more about:

Is Thermage Right for You?

You may benefit from use of our Austin Thermage treatment services if:

  • You want smoother skin, but are wary of surgical procedures. Thermage requires no incisions, injections, or other invasive methods.
  • You need a cosmetic procedure that fits into a busy schedule. A Thermage treatment can be completed in 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the extent of work done. Many patients are able to return to work or other activities immediately after the treatment.
  • You want a comfortable but long-lasting skin treatment. Thermage does not require sedation, although some patients prefer to take mild painkillers following the treatment. Your doctor will communicate with you throughout the treatment to ensure that your comfort level is reasonable.

Thermage is not recommended for all conditions or skin types, although it is more versatile than some other treatment methods. Talk to your dermatologist about how it may benefit you.
